We are called, as a Christian community, to walk alongside one another in joy and sorrow, difficulty and ease. As such, we have a vibrant ministry of caring and praying for all here at FPC.
Pastoral & Congregational Care
Connection when you need it most
Our pastors provide pastoral care with hospital and home visits and counseling as needed. Our Visitation Committee provides friendship and community to those who find it difficult to get to church or who need sustained support. Our deacons and elders offer home visits and communion.
Stephen Ministry
We are also a Stephen Ministry congregation. Stephen Ministers are trained to provide one-to-one emotional and spiritual support to people facing difficult life challenges. Stephen Ministers can provide sustained support, a listening ear, and prayer to individuals who need them.
Prayer
Lifting voices and extending hands
In addition, we pray for one another and the world around us. Our prayers flow from the belief that we should pray for the world because God so loves it. Our prayer ministry is supported by our Martha Ministry Newsletter, which each week directs the congregation to pray for those whose needs have been identified.
Wherever you find yourself in life, our church is prepared to care for you. We try to be the hands and feet of Christ to those in need.
