The First Presbyterian Church Child Development Center provides a stimulating and nurturing learning environment where the developmental needs of each individual child are met through play, creative learning, and spiritual growth in a faith-based, group care setting. Our hope is that children and families will find community and nurture here.
The Center was established to offer excellent care for all children from infant to pre-k. As a ministry of First Presbyterian Church, the Center provides a safe, welcoming environment where families and children can grow and learn in a faith-based setting while preparing to be good neighbors and future students in elementary classrooms.
Our average enrollment is between 72-82 children. FPC’s Child Development Center is housed on the first floor of the Stock Building. Our classrooms were especially built with early childhood education in mind and are cared for to support the developmental needs of children.
We are a private, five-star rated center licensed by the state of North Carolina, with school policies set by a Board that is composed of church members who serve 3-year terms.
