Take Action!

Like good stewards of the manifold grace of God, serve one another
with whatever gift each of you has received.”
1 PETER 4:10

Aside from the recent requests for volunteers to support campaigns and missions at the church, there are many volunteer jobs that go unnoticed and require consistent service by members so that our church runs smoothly day to day and week to week. FPC Acts explains the areas in need and why it is important to contribute your time and talents.

Receptionist Desk: CRITICAL HELP NEEDED

Currently, we only have 8 active volunteers to fill 46 shifts a month. This is a huge responsibility to share with only 8 people. Ideally, we need at least 15 to avoid having multiple vacancies and fill-ins.

What: Answer phone calls and door to Edge building, provide information and directions to visitors.
Who: Men and women 18 years of age and older. Retirees and stay at home parents are encouraged.
When: Monday-Friday, Two Shifts: 8:30-12:30 and 12:30-4:30 (Minimum of 3 shifts a month desired.)
Why: Provide a friendly, welcoming presence for church members and visitors.

Bus Driver: URGENT HELP NEEDED

Currently, we only have 2 active volunteers to fill 4-5 shifts a month. We need volunteers that want to help on a regular basis and/or on-call when needed. We need at least 2 or 3 more volunteers for this position.

What: Drive church bus weekly to transport Capital Towers residents to Midweek Service at the church.
Who: Experienced men and women drivers.
When: Wednesdays, 8:30 am-1:30pm
Why: Provide safe, reliable transportation and peace of mind to those unable to drive themselves.
