FPC Presbyterian Women: Honorary Life Membership 2022

I am honored to have nominated Priscilla McRee fore Presbyterian Women Honorary Life Membership. Priscilla has participated in many facets of church life since joining FPC. She is one of the founding members of Loaves and Fishes and continues to guide her circle in supporting this group. Her husband, Don, and she are still active in the life of one of their Loaves and Fishes’ students, who is now in his twenties.

Priscilla McRee, PW HLM Recipient, with friends and family, Sunday, March 13, 2022.

Priscilla Kinkaid Inscoe McRee was born in Salisbury, NC and grew up in Coolemee, Charlotte, and Newton, NC. She attended UNCG, Lees McRae and graduated from NC State with a Batchelor’s Degree in Social Work. She worked as a counselor in Wake County Schools and has been involved in the church lives of her own children, always supporting their activities at FPC.

She joined the board of Loaves and Fishes July 3,1984 and has served in many capacities. She helped create the community garden for Loaves and Fishes programs supported by First Presbyterian. She also volunteered for and helped raise money for the Friendship Fund, Habitat for Humanities, The Lineberger Cancer Center, and Family Promise consistently.

Priscilla is a member of Circle 8 and the Rick Brand Class. She has volunteered in the church nursery and helped prepare communion on Sundays. Priscilla is and has always been ready and willing to help whenever she is needed in church activities as well as in reaching out to help church members and friends in need. She and her family have attended the FPC All-Church Retreat for many years.

As a friend of Priscilla’s, I have never known her to turn down an opportunity to help others. She is truly a wonderful example of Christ’s witness in the world.
