To Eden We Go: May 29-June 8, Santa Cruz, Bolivia

Thank you for generously donating scholarship money so that about 100 children can attend Rev. Moon’s Eden school this year.

The Eden school, which celebrated its 25th anniversary last year, educates 650 children (K-12) with high quality programs in a Christian-oriented atmosphere – very important for developing character and leadership in Bolivia, the poorest country in South America (except for Venezuela where leadership seems to have collapsed almost entirely).  Thank you very much!

This summer, FPC is sending a mission team to Eden (May 29-June 8).  Our goal is to provide glasses for about 2000 people in the Santa Cruz region.  In past years, people have traveled many miles for our help. We will also treat all students at Eden with fluoride to strengthen their teeth.  There will be plenty of opportunity to worship with Rev. Moon’s Christian community. This fellowship strengthens the Bolivian’s Christian faith as well as our own faith and understanding of this world in which Christ moves.  Those going this year are: Margaret and Charles Peacock, Judy Rogers, Kathy Johnson, Kathie Cheatham, Sue Sager, Phyllis Duncan and Laura and Bill Miller. We ask for your prayers during our trip to Santa Cruz, Bolivia.

If you are interested in joining us next year, please let either the Peacocks or Millers know.  This is an exciting opportunity.
