Special Offering: Presbyterian Homes/Capital Towers Initiative

Reaching out to neighbors in need is as important as ever.

Capital Towers, located on Six Forks Road, is the largest community that provides affordable housing for seniors in Raleigh. With the average age per resident being 77 years old and the average annual income being $17,000, one can imagine that there are a number of residents in need.

First Presbyterian Church has been involved for the past 48 years with Capital Towers, having a representative on the Board, as well as ministering to the needs of its residents. You may know that through the partnership with Presbyterian Homes, Inc., DHIC, and Capital Towers, the buildings that comprise the community are currently being refurbished. In addition, donors have the opportunity to help provide a staff person who helps connect residents to resources that allow them to remain independent. Currently, all donations to this effort are being matched, dollar for dollar, by Presbyterian Homes Inc. Foundation with a goal of raising $40,000.
