It is said in 1 Timothy 5:17:
“The elders who direct the affairs of the church well, are worthy of double honor, especially those whose work in preaching and teaching.”
Well, I would like to say at least triple honor is due our pastors, Ed McLeod, Laurie Taylor Weicher, and Judy Pidcock. The past 18 months have been challenging for each one of them. On behalf of the Personnel Ministry Team we want to thank each one of them for their creativity, their energy and their positive attitude. First Presbyterian Church has learned that it takes a lot of work from these three to feed the members of First Presbyterian Church.
It hasn’t been easy preaching in front of a camera or visiting members to deliver meals to those who were fighting COVID. Setting up drive thru communion was definitely a new concept for us. What a team we have!
October is Pastor Appreciation Month. I encourage you to let our pastors know we appreciate all they have done. They have answered a call to the ministry and they used the skills they have to guide us through a difficult time.
