NOTEworthy: December 12

Well, this is it. The “Big Dance” for FPC’s Chancel Choir. That’s right, it’s our annual Christmas Choral Celebration, or “Big Music Sunday” as it is more commonly known. That being the case, rather than share a link to a video with this week’s music, I instead want to impress upon you how much we want you to be there for this service, and how much we want you to participate in this service.

Find a pew, prepare yourself to see my ridiculous Christmas blazer, and come be a part of this service. When the brass descant soars above your voices in “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing,” when the best chord in all of Christmas (on the word, “Word” in the final verse of Wilcocks’ “O Come, All Ye Faithful”) rings in your ears – don’t stop singing to listen. This service, above all others, commit yourselves to singing.

If you can’t make it to church, I completely understand. Watch the service on YouTube – but sing along.

Your voice is a part of our music.
