The first concert of the season is entitled “Dona Nobis Pacem” (Latin for “Grant Us Peace”). Ralph Vaughan Williams’ prayer for peace, Dona Nobis Pacem, is as relevant and moving today as it was when it was composed just three years before the outbreak of World War II.
