Mother’s Day and Father’s Day contributions are donated to Glenaire, a fully accredited, nonprofit, continuing care retirement community affiliated with The Presbyterian Homes, Inc. Located on 33 acres in the heart of Cary, Glenaire opened in 1993 and welcomes residents of all faiths. It is governed by a volunteer Board of Trustees and The Presbyterian Homes, Inc. Board of Governors. Since 2003 Glenaire has provided more than $2 million in financial assistance to residents in assisted living and independent living who are unable to pay for the full cost of their care. No resident who has outlived his or her funds has ever been asked to leave Glenaire because of an inability to pay. Donations are collected from Mother’s Day through Father’s Day and may be made in honor or in memory of someone.
