Kudos to Gordon Brown!

Kudos to Gordon Brown on being inducted into the WCPSS Hall of Fame

FPC member Gordon Brown was recently inducted into the 2021 Wake County Public School System Hall of Fame.

Gordon Brown serves as Chief Financial Officer, a shareholder, and a board member at Alfred Williams & Company in Raleigh. In addition to his success in business, Gordon has a long track record of service in support of Wake County children and schools through his leadership and with the Boys & Girls Clubs serving Wake County and WakeEd Partnership.

Not only has Gordon been involved with church leadership, church committees, Presbyterian Homes and Glenaire, but come to find out, he has been actively working with the WakeEd Partnership and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Wake County since the late 1990’s.

Gordon has a passion for public education and giving back, especially programs that work with at risk kids and young people. This passion for helping others was no doubt instilled by his mother, FPC member, Barbara Brown Smith, and is also exhibited by his sister, FPC member and retired WCPSS teacher, Shari Brown Frederick.

And, these behaviors modeled by his parents, Gordon and his wife, Lisa Burpee Brown, now pass along to their four kids, Elizabeth, Meredith, Allie and William.
