Good news from Community Music School – Celebrating our 25th anniversary!
We opened our 2019-2020 school year in new space at Longleaf School of the Arts with a fabulous facility and room to grow. The CMS Mission is to enrich and inspire all children through music education.
Core values:
- Music is fundamental to every child’s development and fosters a lifelong appreciation of the arts.
- One on one relationship between student and teacher are essential.
- The family has an important supporting role in the musical development of the student.
- All children deserve to be applauded for their accomplishments.
“I have been privileged to teach piano at CMS for the past five years. My experience working with these students has truly been a blessing. CMS students have received scholarships for summer music camp at Brevard Music Center and The Cannon Music School at Appalachian State University. Others have performed at Ovations before North Carolina Symphony Concerts at Meymandi Concert Hall. Some play in their school concert and marching bands and some play in their school orchestras. Community Music School is a charitable partner and beneficiary of Cameron Village’s 70th Anniversary Celebration October 11-19. Come play with us and help us grow!” – Bradley Kraemer
