Since mid-July, twelve FPC families have signed up to participate in Caring with Cookies & Cupcakes – a small group of family bakers put together by Katy Schafer, Director of Children & Family Ministries. After hearing current and consistent feedback from FPC clergy visiting older adults that they miss seeing children she had the idea to get families together to bake cookies or cupcakes for our older members living at home. The response was tremendous! This baking group is on-going and we welcome children and their families who want to join us!
Including children in the WHOLE process of baking and delivery is preferred. It’s perfect for families with children of all ages.
How it works:
- Your family is assigned to a person in your zip code.
- You’ll be assigned a specific week to deliver the baked goods.
- Printed tags and notecards will be provided to personalize the gift!
- The goal is to connect once every 6 weeks or so.
